Tommy M. Segura

Tommy Segura, Sr. passed away January 6, 2012, with his loving family by his side. He was born July 6, 1921, in Santa Fe, NM to Bernabe Segura, Sr. and Adela. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Lucy V. Segura; son Douglas Allen; his sister Rosie Porter and husband Bill; sisters-in-law Vera Segura, Zita Segura; brother-in-law Albino Varela; his best friend and brother-in-law Basillio Roybal and wife Josie. He is survived by his children Gloria Gallegos, Tommy Segura, Jr. and wife Becky, TeeTee Dimas and husband Jim, Angela Casados and husband Ray, Richard Segura, Bobby Segura; his grandchildren Ernest Gallegos, Jr. and special family friend Dawn; Jolene Shade and husband Bob; Chris Gallegos, Sr. and wife Pamela; Edward Gallegos; Mat Segura and wife Chanel; Melissa Martinez and husband Mike; James Casados and fianc�?© Alexandra; Ryan Segura; 7 great-grandchildren; also his brothers, David Segura, Joe Pat Segura; Bernabe Segura, Jr. and wife Annie of Los Alamos; sisters Lorry Rodriquez and husband Jake, Casey Gallegos of Texas; sisters-in-law Bernie Garcia, Toni Ce De Baca and husband Alex, Mary Roybal, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was a World War II Army Veteran, and owned and operated Segura Auto Repair for over 30 years. A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Santa Maria de la Paz, 11 College Ave., Santa Fe with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 13, 2012,. at 10:00 a.m., Santa Maria de la Paz; Interment to follow at 12:45 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Gallegos, James Casados, Ryan Segura, Chris Gallegos, Sr., Ernest Gallegos, Matthew Segura, and Tony Segura; Honorary Pallbearers will be Melissa Martinez and Jolene Shade. Our dad will be greatly missed and we take comfort that he is with our mother and brother in the hands of the Lord. Many thanks to the Amber Care Hospice staff who helped make his last days more peaceful. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Carmelite Monastery.
