Tyrone Ty"" Lewis

LEWIS-Tyrone “Ty” Lewis, age 61, beloved companion, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 8, 2010, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Houston, TX and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Ty played football for the Houston Oilers as linebacker. Ty was a loyal employee of the Daniels Family Funeral Services, and always was a very positive person to everyone he met, he was never a stranger. He loved barbeques, and enjoyed being around his family and friends. Ty touched many hearts, and will always be remembered as a kind, down to earth human being. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Fannie Harriel; his father, Emmitt Lewis; three brothers, Melvin, Gene and Norman Willis; his ex-wife, Viola Tapia; and mother-in-law, Lydia Tapia. Ty is survived by his devoted and loving companion, Sandra Goldman; his loving mother, Pearlie L. Lewis; his children, Ryan, Sean and Tiffaney Lewis, Fernando L., Steven P. and Bobby L. Aragon; his siblings, Wayne Willis, Joann Brown, Yvonne Lewis-Hawkins, Roni Wilks, Michael Lewis, Lucy Devore, Nina Woods, Darrell Webb; and 15 grandchildren. Also surviving are his step-children, Lainee Marisa Goldman, Noah Paul Tucker, Jacob Daniel Tucker; father-in-law, Bennie Tapia; his dogs, Bubba Lewis, Bubba Lewis, II and Sugar Lewis; numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives; and a host of friends. Ty will be greatly missed by all who loved him and by those whose hearts he touched. Visitations will be Monday July 12, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Wyoming Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. Celebration of Ty’s life will be Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. also in the Chapel.
