Velda Mae Holcomb

Velda Mae Holcomb, 86, of Farmington, passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010. She was born May 2, 1923, in Hamilton, Texas. Velda married Virgil Melvin Holcomb in 1944 in Big SpringS, Texas, and she moved to New Mexico in 1959. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary and her hobbies included beadwork and bingo. Velda was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; and daughter, Karen Faye Howlett. She is survived by her daughters, Zona Nichols and Brenda Anderson; one sister, Delores Starr of Cisco, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
