Velma Delgarito

Velma Delgarito was a homemaker, rug weaver, silversmith and sheep herder. She loved going to church and cooking. Survivors include her husband, Ned Delgarito of Prewitt; sons, Bennie Loretto Sr., of Thoreau, Dennis Loretto of Grants, Steven Delgarito of Thoreau; daughters, Etta L. Johnson of Prewitt, Marita L. Abeita Los Angeles, California, Leta L. Lewis of Haystack, Nora A. Louis of Acoma, Rosita L. Smith of Prewitt; sisters, Evangelist Angela Begay of Prewitt, Anita Wellito of Casamero Lake, 38 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren;six great-great-grandchildren. Delgarito was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago Begay, Emma Bodie Begay; brother, Nelson Bodie; sister, Jennie Castillo. Pallbearers will be Christopher Jack, Franklin James, Shawn Lewis, Daniel Wellito, Carl Lewis, Thomas Smith.
