Venancio Ben"" Vigil

VIGIL " Venancio “Ben” Vigil 85, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 7, 2011. Venancio was born on November 9, 1925 in Roswell, New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Meliton and Mrs. Maria Vigil, sister Mrs. Carmelita Chavez, and brother Mr. Santiago Vigil. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary of 63 years, one brother Mr. Meliton Vigil, seven children, 3 sons and 4 daughters. Sons " Mr. Tony Vigil, Mr. Ben Vigil, and Mr. Louie Vigil. Daughters " Mrs. Lawrence Sanchez (Marianna), Mrs. Paul Gentile (Carmela), Mrs. Fred Aragon (Corina), Miss Marcella Vigil, 15 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Mr. Vigil, retired from the City of Albuquerque, after 28 years of service. He was also a WWII Veteran; he proudly loved and served his country. Some of Mr. Vigil’s hobbies were deer hunting and fishing. Dad, Pa, Papa, Grandpo, Tata, Big brother, you were greatly loved and we will immensely miss you. Pallbearers will be, Mr. Manuel Padilla, Mr. Elias Vigil, Mr. Daniel Vigil, Mr. Louie Vigil, Mr. Steven Peralta, and Mr. Anthony Vigil. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Joe Lucero and Mr. Ron Brown. Funeral Services for Mr. Vigil will be held at 5:00pm Tuesday January 11, 2011 at New Life Baptist Church, 6900 Los Volcanes Rd., NW, Albuquerque, NM, with Interment and Committal to follow on Wednesday January 12, 2011, 11:00am at Fairview Memorial Park, Albuquerque, NM.
