Vera Mae Allen

Vera Mae Allen (Ma) was born August 1, 1931 to Gertha Mae Walker Garrett and Major Frank Garrett in Marlin, Texas.  The heavenly father called her name Tuesday morning April 7th, 2020.  She transitioned peacefully from earth to glory.  She excepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age and continued her services for the Lord at Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a cook and a faithful member.  Vera Allen was united in marriage to Frank Allen in Marlin Texas in 1949.  Together they had six children.  She was preceded in death by her parents Gertha Mae Walker Garrett, Major Frank Garrett, siblings Frankie Made Outland, Dimple David Garrett, Jonathan Garrett, Marjorie Carter Hayes, Jimmy Earl Garrett, and children Nell Allen, Linda Allen, Frank Allen Jr. and Michael Allen.  She leaves to cherish her memory her children Maxine Allen, Darell Allen, Doris Peace and Lavell Allen, 4 siblings, grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  As well as a host of nieces and nephews.  Vera was the wisest loving woman you could ever meet she opened her heart and home the (Ponderosa) to many people she will be deeply missed.
