Vera S. Ulibarri

Ulibarri, Vera S. Age 91, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. She was born in Belen, NM, on November 21, 1921, to Placido and Rufina Sanchez. Vera was a deeply loving and caring woman who gave generously and selflessly. Her joy of dancing is legendary; her laughter was always her own best medicine; and her home cooking unparalleled. Vera was broken-hearted by the death of the love of her life, husband Vicente D. Ulibarri in 1963. She bravely continued their accounting practice and entered a long career in insurance companies to raise her family in fulfillment of their parental goals. In the early 1970�s, she welcomed step-family as her own. Vera�s father, Placido Sanchez, died of leukemia when she was an infant. Later in life, she was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Rufina Sanchez; twin brother, Abelino Sanchez; nephew, Paul Sanchez; aunt and uncle, Isabel and Charley Burnham; step-son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jenny Garcia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by daughters, Rev. Dr. V. Dianne Ulibarri, V. Denise Ulibarri and fianc�e John Clauss, Geralyn Baca; daughter-in-law, Pam Faria; step-son, Gerard Garcia; grandchildren, Jaime Stoltzfus and husband Jacob, Christina Perez, Deanna Garcia and Sergio, and twins Charlie and John Burnham; 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Sue Sanchez; nieces, Sandra and husband Jim Sanchez and family, Phyllis and husband Rick Hayes and family, Mary Sanchez and spouse Gail Ranshaw; cousins, John and Becky Burnham, Albert and Coby Sanchez, and god-daughter, Iris Chavez. Vera will be greatly missed by numerous family members, friends and all who knew and loved her. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at the Daniels Family Funeral Services-Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, 10:00 am, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl SE, Albuquerque. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque.
