Veronica Kelewood

Kelewood was born into the Bitter Water People Clan and born for the Salt People Clan. Kelewood enjoyed making crafts including making Kachina dolls. She went to Kinlichee Boarding School. Survivors include her sons, Kenny Begaye, Kendall Begaye, both of Shiprock, Ronnie Toledo, Loren Toledo, Leon Toledo, all of Kayenta; daughter, Wilma Toledo of Phoenix; brothers, Terry Kelewood of Rough Rock, Perry Kelewood of Whiteriver, Larson Johnson of Kinlichee; sisters, Vera Atcitty of Shiprock, Sharon Tully of Kinlichee. Kelewood was preceded in death by her parents, Mary K. Keyonnie, Harry Kelewood Jr.; brothers, Larry Kelewood, Elvis Kelewood; sister, Mevelyn Watchman. Pallbearers will be Brian Watchman, Larson Johnson, Jeffery Baker, Terry Kelewood, Emerson Tully, Garrett Kelewood. The family will receive relatives and friends at Sharon Tully’s residence, Kinlichee, following services.
