Miramontes, Veronica “Betty”
Betty was born in La Luz, NM; lived in Alamogordo and Tularosa for many years. She worked at the Presto Factory for 26 years in Alamogordo. She retired in Odessa, TX to be close to her sisters. Betty lost her battle with COPD on October 12, 2014 and is now at peace. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Ray Aragon; two daughters, Della Aragon and husband, Anselmo Aragon, children Antonio and Ammie Aragon; Veronica (Yvonne) Miramontes, children Kasandra Miramontes and Genevieve Guilez, and a great granddaughter, Bonnie Miramontes. Betty has a sister Mary Lopez and husband, Peter Lopez of Odessa, TX. Her nephews Peter (Pete) Lopez, Jr. and wife Cindy Lopez; Karris and husband Isaac, and children, Alex, Kandace, Kayla Lopez; Angel Lopez and wife Amy, and children, Alexia and Crystal, all of Odessa, TX. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Josie Henson; cousin, Ricky Guiterrez; her mother, Crucita Madrid.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, October 17, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM; a Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m.
