Vesta Lee Harber

Vesta Lee Harber, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010. She was born June 9, 1918, in Bradley, Okla., to Fannie Mae (McDaniel) and Floyd Curlee. Vesta enjoyed working with ceramics and was known for her beautiful jeweled Christmas ornaments, having made over 3,000 in her lifetime. She loved her rose garden and spent a great deal of time enjoying her patio in her backyard. Vesta and Beryl were longtime members of the Elks Lodge. She lived in Farmington for more than 45 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Beryl C. Harber; her siblings, AC Curlee, Arlene Davis and Maxine Loar; sons, Floyd Harber and Clifford Wayne Harber. Vesta is survived by her daughters, Winona (Jim) Williams of Kirtland, Gwen Atkinson (David) of Lahaina, Hawaii; son, H.F. Harber (Wanda) of Double Oak, Texas; and her sister, Neoma Wright of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
