Vickie S Gonzales

GONZALES - Vickie S. Gonzales, 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at her home in Socorro, NM surrounded by her loving family. Vickie was born on June 21, 1930 in Socorro to Gabriel and Plajares (Luna) Silva. She is survived by her sisters, Adela Lopez; Emelia Gallegos; Betty Sarate and husband, Stanley; and Cecilia Zamora and husband, Predicando; her brothers, Mike Silva and wife, Rosemary; and Ernest Silva and wife, Jennie; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Vickie was a resident of Socorro for over 40 years. She loved to play bingo and visit casinos. Vickie loved her family and was always there for all of them. They were her life, her pride and joy. She took care of everyone no matter what; she was the “care giver” of the family. Vickie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 19 years, Napoleon “Napo” Gonzales; her parents; her sister, Masie Ramon; and her brothers, George; Nick; and Pete Silva. A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Daniels Family Funeral Services Socorro Chapel. A Rosary will be recited also on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the San Miguel Catholic Church. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the New San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Larry Silva, Tomas Baca, Cathy Soto, Flora Murillo, Bonnie Montoya, and Crystal Terrazas.
