Victor Chenoweth born July 30, 1951 in Albuquerque, NM passed away March 8, 2016 surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dwight and Mary E. Chenoweth.
Victor is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Quintana Chenoweth of almost 42 years; his only son Isaac Chenoweth; brothers, Gary (Sandra), Paul partner Judi, Mark (Nancy); sisters, Julie Chenoweth, and Karen Blehm; as well as niece, Eva Lovato who was like a daughter to Victor and Phyllis; He also leaves behind many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors who will miss him very much.
Victor was a self-starter. He started his own business when he was 18 in Albuquerque, and left the area for Texas after getting married and later moved to Florida. He and his family experienced Hurricane Andrew in 1992, which prompted them to come back home to the Land of Enchantment. He was a teenager of the 60’s and 70’s, and loved his muscle cars, among them was his 1968 KR Mustang Shelby Cobra and his 1969 Ford Torino. He was a very intelligent man, with a wide range of knowledge, and a sharp wit to match. He enjoyed hiking with his son and family in the Manzano Mountains, as well as fishing, coaching little league baseball and listening to the music of Freddie Chavez and Sal at their different venues. He had a special song that was dedicated to him.
He worked at Home Depot for many years and lastly at the MDC in Albuquerque, as a Classification Specialist, until his illness.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque, especially Annie Kiro who was so loving when taking care of Victor, as was LouAnn of Hospice Compassus. Our heartfelt thanks to these angels in tennis shoes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Victor's honor to any Bank of the West locations under Victor Chenoweth memorial fund.
