Victor L. Montano, Sr.

Victor L. Montano, Sr., age 60, beloved and devoted, husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Life, Friday, April 4, 2014, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albuquerque and was a resident of Los Lunas, NM. Victor was employed by the Belen Consolidated Schools. He was a master builder, a sports enthusiast and an avid outdoorsman. Victor is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Maria I. Montano of the family home; his children,Victoria Louise Fleischman and husband Andy, Victor Louis Montano, Jr., Evander Isaiah Montano; his precious grandchildren, Ashlee, DeAmbra, Ramon, Sunny and Uriah; two great-grandchildren, Mariano and Jose. Also surviving are his loving parents, Leo and Alice Montano; his siblings and spouses, Leonard Montano and wife Rosemarie, Theresa Lucero and husband, LeeRoy, Michael Montano and wife Melissa, Emily Montano; sister-in-laws, Sally V. Lopez, Debby De Bary and husband Daryl; brother-in-law, Anthony Maestas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Victor will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Victor's wishes were to be cremated and have Christian services. Family and friends may visit Monday, April 14, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of The Rio Grande Valley, 19381 North Highway 314, Belen, NM 87002, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. A Catholic Funeral Vigil will be held Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. at San Antonio Mission, 1666 Los Lentes, NE, Los Lunas, NM 87031. Urn Bearers will be his son, Evander Montano and his nephew, David Lucero. Honorary Bearers will be George Aragon, Earl Freeman, Joe Hietpas, LeeRoy Lucero, Porfi Maestas, Robert Stetson, Richard Serna, and Andy Fleischman.
