Vincent A Zarrella

Vincent (Vinnie) A. Zarrella, 85, died the 16th of October, 2019 in Rio Rancho, NM. His visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00pm on Monday, October 21st with the Rosary starting promptly at 7:00pm at Daniels Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel – 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. The Funeral Mass we be at 10:30am on Tuesday, October 22nd at St. Thomas Aquinas Church – 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. Entombment will immediately follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park – 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho.

Vinnie was born on August 20th, 1934 in Staten Island, NY to Domenico & Emilia Zarrella.

Vinnie was a loving husband & father. He always made sure his family was well cared for. We took many vacations and camping trips throughout our lives. We are filled with amazing memories.

Vinnie was an artist by trade as a machinist and a craftsman. He made the most beautiful wooden bowls, jewelry boxes, candle holders, furniture, toy boxes, etc. for all to enjoy. It seems everyone we met was touched by his generosity with his woodcraft. Many have a piece of Vinnie in their homes, even his dentist.

The number of friends he has made and the lives he has impacted is staggering.

Vinnie enjoyed good food and had no problem giving you a meal list to cook!

Vinnie took pride in his possessions. By possessions we mean his craft tools and his home. Those that knew him well we remember his “check out” lists.

Most of all, Vinnie took pride in the greatest possession of all, his wife Dolores of almost 60 years. The wife he would lay down his life for. His wife, Dolores and he created the most amazing family in the world. Their love shown through for all to see. With that love they went on to create 4 beautiful children, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

No one can replace Vinnie.

We will miss him every day but can take comfort knowing that he is with our Lord & Savior. When we feel sad, we can simply look around our table and be proud knowing we are the result of a great and honorable man.

Husband, Vinnie, daddy we will love you & honor you always!
