Known to many as “Momma Vi” and like her sister Dedie, she was the Great Care Taker and a 2nd mother to many. She lived her life to the fullest and never wasted an opportunity to either laugh or make someone smile. She lived a life of welcoming others such as neighbors, friends of her children and grandchildren and she treated them all like her own family. She was a staunch supporter of her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren with all of their sporting activities, events and special occasions, cheering them on with incredible pride and admiration. There was never a missed opportunity to show her unconditional love for her family, friends and her love for life. Those that knew her, knew that she was the life of the party, sometimes doing her famous baton dance to entertain the crowd, but always making sure that those around her were having fun.

Vi shared 60 years of marriage with the love of her life Harold. In those 60 years, they enjoyed amazing adventures together with their children and friends often traveling, camping, and going to sporting events. Known as the reigning champions of the polka, they lit up family parties on the dance floor and no one ever came close to matching them! They enjoyed amazing trips all over the country celebrating and supporting friends and family, highlighted by their favorite bus tours to Laughlin. Together, they lived their life for their children, enjoyed their family and friends and were always together through it all. Their love and commitment for each other exemplified everything their marriage vows were about and will be remembered as an incredible love story.
