Viola E. Harlow

Viola E. Harlow, 88, of Aztec, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, in Farmington. She was born Dec. 13, 1922, in Elkhart, Kan., to Ted and Edna Litke. Viola and Ralph "Bud Harlow were married in 1946. They moved to Aztec in 1960. Viola was a homemaker and worked at Aztec Middle School as a teacher��?�s aide until her retirement. She was active in her church and a lifetime member of the Quilters��?� Guild. She loved to sew, cook and bake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents, and a sister, Lois Litke. She is survived by her sons, Larry (Marcy) Harlow and Tim (Kris) Harlow; her brother, Leland (Doris) Litke, and her sister, Betty Litke; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Aug. 2, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Vincent will officiate.
