Virginia B. Adams

Adams, Virginia B. Age 76, of Rio Rancho and formerly of Roswell, NM, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was born on September 11, 1935 to Robert Park and Jewel Mae (Sessom) Thompson of Carlsbad, NM. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be missed by so many. Mrs. Adams would give a little chuckle if she knew we mentioned that she was the 1954 Central Valley Track Queen at Taft Junior College in Taft, CA! While living in Roswell, NM, she was a librarian for nine years at Valley View Elementary School. She retired from Presbyterian Hospital in 1996 where she served as the Office Manager of the hospital laboratory. Many of her colleagues will remember her special caring connection that she made with the elderly and children. She enjoyed crafting, babysitting, and donated a lot of time and talents to All Faiths Receiving Home. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Jerry Thompson and Connie Hudson. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Theo Vance Adams, of Rio Rancho, NM; children, Randall Kent Adams and his wife, Lisa Marie, of Troy, IL, Stacy Lynn Huelsman and her husband, Pat, of Pueblo, CO, Mark Adams of San Francisco, CA, and Lisa Adams of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Melissa and Jodi Adams, Jeremiah Huelsman and Heather Ludwig, and Jennifer and Justin Martin; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Terry Thompson. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho, NM.
