Martinez, Vivian  "Vivi"
much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM with her family by her side. She was born in La Mesa, NM on June 26, 1934, to Jose and Juanita (Gonzales) Lopez. Vivi was a woman of great faith. She was devoted to he family and was always willing to help anyone in need. Vivi enjoyed sewing and crocheting when she was younger and loved to dance and listen to music. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Vivi will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joe Lopez; and her granddaughters, Mercedes Gonzales and Pamela Martinez; and son-in-law, James A. Gonzales Sr. Vivi is survived by her husband of 63 years, Juan Martinez; her children, Andy Martinez, Juan M. Martinez, Annabelle Gonzales, Elaine Ross, Linda Baca and husband Joey; and Nancy De Los Santos; her devoted sisters, Ruby Chavez and husband, Nestor, Vita Sanchez, Dina Miranda and husband, Candido, Margie Sanchez and husband, Francisco, Jean Felix, and Canda Agilar and husband, Pablo; grandchildren, Miranda (Frankie) Marquez, Andrew Martinez Jr., Christina Gutierrez, Celina Martinez, Cathy Jaramillo, James (Sara) Gonzales Jr., Michelle Gonzales, Donna (Rick) Newland, Daryl S. (Cici) Ross, Jamie Gonzales, Kenny Gonzales, Joey C. Baca, Jeremy Baca (Theresa), Amanda Baggs, Destiny De Los Santos, and Edward Garcia II; great grandchildren, Andres Marquez, Araceli Marquez, Alijah Marquez, Thomas Newland, Allyssa Newland, Samantha Gonzales, Tony  Garza, Miriah Garza, Mathew Garza, Carla Gutierrez and Carina Gutierrez.  The Holy Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro.  Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 9:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church.  Celebrant Father Edgar Sanchez.  Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service. A reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall immediately following the cemetery services. Pallbearers will be Kenny Gonzales, Daryl S. Ross, James Gonzales Jr., Andrew Martinez Jr., Edward Garcia II, and Mathew Garza.  Honorary pallbearers are all of her granddaughters and great grandchildren.
