On September 20, 1952, Wanda married Roger Kuhlke and they made their home on Herndon Heights, WV. Roger and Wanda moved to Albuquerque on September 20, 2010, because of Roger’s illness, to live with their daughter Sandra Hunter and her husband, J. Dennis Hunter of Albuquerque. Wanda and Roger enjoyed 57 years of married life together.

Wanda expressed her love through writing, cooking, sewing, gardening and canning. She and Roger took great pride in sharing their vegetables and fruits with family and friends. Wanda loved her family dearly and had great joy in raising her children. Wanda was most often recognized for her sweet and kind disposition.

Her last months were made easier with the compassionate staff of the Hospice of New Mexico. We are thankful for the grace of hospice in helping ease the pain of this transition. Special thanks to Dr. Margaret Nolan and the staff of Hospice of New Mexico, nurse, Chasie Soliz and aide: Tasha Hosack. Also thanks to special caretakers Jan Souter and Andrea Smith.
