Warren Floyd Windle

Warren F. Windle, son of Charles and Esther Windle was born in Mullinville, Kansas August 28, 1937. Warren is survived by his wife of 51 years, Fran, his son Jeff Windle of Albuquerque and daughter Jana Windle of Beaumont, Tx. Warren and his wife adopted 2 grandchildren; Jenny and John Windle of Albuquerque. He is also survived by brother George and his wife Laura of Eagle River, Alaska and Leaford and wife Nan of Belen, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Paul. He graduated from Fort Hays State College with a BS degree in Physics and Math and from Kansas State University with a MS degree in Physics. After teaching at Kansas State University for 2 years, he was employed be Sandia National Labs for 38 years. Warren was a Boy Scout Leader for 20 years and supported Scouting for 40 years. He received the Silver Beaver Award, Scouting's highest adult award. Warren has been active in his church since he was a teen-ager and served his church in Albuquerque in leadership positions for 45 years. Warren lived his faith every day in all that he did. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church in Warren's name.
