Wayne Cardwell

CARDWELL- Dewey Wayne Cardwell passed away Thursday March 17, 2011. He had a nearly 3 year struggle with cancer. He was born on October 20, 1949, in Grapevine, Texas. Wayne was a long time resident of Albuquerque. He was successful in many business ventures, but best known as owner of Plains Auto Refrigeration from 1989 through 2002. Wayne was a loving husband and father. Many people considered him a true friend who will be greatly missed. He was one of those people you could call with any problem and he would always be there to help. His hero was John Wayne and he loved country music, the Dallas Cowboys and his doggies. He will be forever in our hearts and never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Wayne Cardwell in March 2001; his father, Dewey Leon Cardwell in March 2009. He is survived by his wife of nearly 43 years, Brenda Cardwell and her sister Linda Peters and family; his mother Naomi Cardwell; and his sister Debbie Reynolds and family. Special thanks to Hospice.
