Wentworth Elliot Gumbs

Gumbs, Wentworth Elliot Age 94, a resident of Rio Rancho for 29 years and previously of Pasadena, CA and Brooklyn, NY, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 20, 1920, to Peter and Mureeze (Cuevela) Gumbs. Wentworth is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bertha T. Gumbs of Rio Rancho, NM; children, Wentworth "Miki" Gumbs of Tacoma, WA, Lenny Gumbs and wife Brenda of Cincinnati, OH, Carmen Gumbs of Albuquerque, NM, Romalia Skeete and husband Emile of Spanaway, WA, Candida Gumbs of Redlands, CA; eight grandchildren, Mariah, Amani, Tara, Andre, Anissa, Angela, Carlton "Codi", Jonathan; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Wentworth loved to read the newspaper as well as watch the news on television. He had a passion for boating and riding his motorcycle.
