Boyett, Wesley Paul
Wes Boyett of Algodones, NM, age 46, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 18, 2016.
Wes was born June 8, 1969 in Albuquerque New Mexico. Even as a toddler, Wes was articulate and winsome and loved to socialize with anyone who was willing. Raised in the country, he loved exploring on his BMX bike, horsing around with the family, and water-skiing. He graduated from Hope Christian High School in 1987.
After high school, Wes held a number of jobs, from auto mechanic to plumber to heating, cooling and construction contractor. He obtainied his MM98 Mechanical Contractor's license at the age of 21. He spent two years as a maintenance foreman and auto mechanics teacher at Mountain View International Christian School in Indonesia. His most current career was as a Bulk Cryogenics Mechanic at Matheson Tri-Gas.
Wes was married to Peggy Sue Rodwick on May 22, 1993 and they enjoyed an exciting life together. Loving the outdoors, Wes enjoyed dirt biking, hunting and target practice, camping, and causing general mayhem. He guided rafts for White Water Adventures for ten years. He was always ready to share his passions with the kids and really with anyone who would adventure with him. This meant loads of fun for everyone, and it also meant inspiration for us all, since his faith in Jesus was a vital part of his daily life and conversation.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Kilian Boyett. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sue Boyett, and three children, Colten Paul (12), Joseph (Joey) Walker (10), and Lainey Joy (5). He is also survived by his dad, John Wesley Boyett, sister, Ruth Boyett Stearley, and a large extended family.
