With heavy hearts, we come together to honor the life and legacy of Wesley Ray Daniels, who passed away on May 15, 2024 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He was born on August 15, 1961, in his beloved hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Wesley led a distinguished career as a Certified Public Accountant for over three decades, showcasing his dedication and expertise in financial matters. His commitment to his profession left a lasting impact on all those he worked with throughout the years. Outside of work, Wesley's passions were diverse and enriching. From fishing to golfing, skiing to baseball, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Yet, above all, Wesley cherished moments spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
In a testament to enduring love and companionship, Wesley is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Cheryle Lynn Daniels of Rio Rancho. He also leaves behind his daughter Olivia Joyce Daniels and fiancée Payton Santillanes of Portales; son Joseph Everett Daniels of Rio Rancho – a family bound by love that extends beyond time and distance. He leaves behind a profound void in the hearts of many, including his mother Treva Joyce Daniels of Albuquerque; sister Cathy (Henry) Cabagua of Albuquerque; Susan Daniels and partner Cheryl Zahm of Albuquerque; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles spanning across different states. Wesley was predeceased by his father, Gene Allen Daniels.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on May 28, 2024, at Anchor Point Church in Rio Rancho beginning at 4:00pm. Friends and loved ones are invited to join in commemorating Wesley's remarkable journey on this day.
