William Lowe Eberhard,83, of Farmington, died on Saturday, March 19, 2011, in Farmngton. He was born March 29, 1927, in Akron, Ohio, to William C. and Glenna Eberhard.
William's employment included Creamland Daries, 18 years with Prudential Insurance, reserve police officer and park ranger for the City of Farmington, security officier for both PNM and San Juan Regional Medical Center, school crossing guard for McKinnley Elementary School, where he was known as "Mr. Bill". He also owned Bill's Tackle Shop in Blanco for seven years.
He servd in the US Navy in both World War II and the Korean War. He was a proud member of the NRA.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing slots at the casino.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Laura J. White; and one grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Eberhard; the son he always wanted, Eric Eberhard; daughters, Arlene Still, Gail Holiday, Lynn Lee, and Gwen Zawistowski; brother, Robert Eberhard; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
