Age 65, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at his home is Socorro, New Mexico surrounded by his family. He was born in El Paso, TX on October 11, 1950, to Walton and Gloria Del Valle Nester. William graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso, TX where he was also a member of the marching band. A resident in Socorro since 2009, William was the go to man for rebuilding used saddles and playing Taps at local military funerals. He loved working with children and volunteered a lot of his time to charity work. He also loved motorcycles and the Dallas Cowboys. William was a loving, caring and devoted family man with a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents. William is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Hernandez; daughter, Yvette (Patrick) Axtell, sons, Bill (Aimee) Nester and Allen Hernandez; brother, Walter (DeeDee) Nester; sister, Linda Boehm; and grandchildren, Avery Axtell, Brenden Axtell, Sabre Nester and Valen Nester . Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016, 2:00 pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services -Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro. Interment to follow at Socorro Cemetery , Socorro . Pallbearers will be Allen Hernandez, Jordan Chavez, Charlie Roybal, Walt Nester, Joseph Reichenbach and Patrick Moya. Honorary Pallbearers are Avery Axtell, Brenden Axtell, Sabre Nester, Valen Nester and Dale Maesta.
