William Edward Reed

REED-William E. Reed, 65, passed away the morning of August 31 after a brief illness. He leaves behind his sisters, Diane Reed of Albuquerque, NM, Joan Brown of Corrales, NM and Nan Reed of Anchorage, AK as well as his nephew, Christopher Brown and grandniece, Haley of Rio Rancho, NM and nephew Bradley Brown and wife Whitney and grandniece Elliot of Madison, WI. He will be deeply missed by not only his family, but by those individuals who were touched by his generosity and kindness-William epitomized integrity. He always strived in his life to be honorable and compassionate. He will never know just how many people’s hearts he touched. William received a Bachelors of History in Political Science and a Masters in Education from Alaska Methodist University. He retired from the department of Corrections, State of Alaska. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment to follow services at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
