Wilma Alice Spencer

Wilma Spencer, 91 of Farmington, passed from this life at her home on January 7, 2010. She was born on March 15, 1918, in Kirtland, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Carol Lynn Spencer in 1983; a daughter Wilma Nadine Spencer Huffman an 2000; a granddaughter Lydia Ann Hillburn in 2009 and her parents Robert McBride Wade and Lydia Stolworthy Wade. She is survived by her children; a daughter Nelda Spencer Getman who has lovingly cared for her for many years and two sons, Carol Wade Spencer and Sherron Robert Spencer. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. Wilma's family moved to Farmington from Kirtland when she was two years old. Her father, Robert Wade, was an original designer and installer of the Farmington electrical system. Wilma was a lifelong active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She drove a school bus ferrying many children to school for the Farmington School District for over 25 years and later worked in the school cafeteria at Hermosa Junior High and Northeast Elementary School. Wilma will be missed by her family. She was very loved and we are blessed to have had her with us for so many years. Wilma is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E.
