Inglish, Winnell  
Aged 97, Winnell passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 surrounded by family and loving caregivers. She was born in Peacock, Texas on January 26, 1922 to W.H. and Edna McKinzie. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Ross Inglish Jr, her sister Ithadean Matthews, and two brothers J.E. and Claud McKinzie. After moving to New Mexico as newlyweds, Winnell and Ross began their lives as successful farmers and ranchers. Winnell earned her B.A. in Education from eastern New Mexico University in 1953. After moving to Datil, New Mexico in the 1950’s she taught countless first and second graders for over 40 years. She and her husband retired to Socorro in the late 1980’s where she remained. She was a faithful member of her church, and is remembered for her wonderful laugh and the great joy she shared with her cherished friends and family. She is survived by five nieces and nephews and their extended families. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Socorro, New Mexico on July 3, 2019 with the burial at the Jayton Cemetery in Jayton, Texas on July 6, 2019 at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Winnell's name to the Meals on Wheels program at the Socorro Senior Center, PO Box 1883 Socorro, NM 87801 or the First Baptist Church of Socorro, PO Box 1126 Socorro, NM 87801.
