Zula Mae Carlton
Age 94, resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. She was born in Olustee, OK on October 4, 1920, to Noah and Mary Elizabeth (Clausell) Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn; her parents; seven brothers and three sisters. Zula is survived by her sister, Daisy Crowley of Albuquerque, NM and numerous nieces and nephews. Zula was a graduate of Melrose, New Mexico High School. After her marriage in 1948 to Wilburn Carlton, they moved to Friona, TX, where she began her career with Southwestern Public Service Company. She transferred to Plainview, TX and retired in November 1985. Zula was a longtime member of College Heights Baptist Church before moving to Albuquerque, NM in 2010.
Service will be held in Plainview, TX. Interment will take place at Parklawn Cemetery.
