Belotti, Angelo B.
Angelo B Belotti, age 84, passed away June 13, 2015. He was born March 27, 1931, in Bronx, New York, to Michael and Mary Belotti. Angelo is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Zito Belotti, his sons Jerry, Chris, and Ron, his daughters in law Janet and Nicola, and his grandchildren Nicholas, Vincent, Christopher and Amanda. He and his family moved from Wappingers Falls, New York to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 1970.
During his school days Angelo garnered the nick name of “Chick”. He was always a slick dresser, hence “Slick Chick”. It is this name that all of his friends called him for the rest of his life. Angelo served his country during the Korean War in the Navy. He was very proud of being a Veteran. He further served the communities he lived in as a police officer for the New York Railroad and a Sergeant for Sandoval County Sheriff’s Department in New Mexico. He volunteered his time to the State Police Mounted Patrol. He continued his work experience at Yellow Freight where he eventually retired. He enjoyed country western dancing with his wife and crafting fantastic wooden bird houses. In his younger days Angelo enjoyed motor cycling and was a past member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motor Cycle Club. He enjoyed his animals and they gave him great pleasure.
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
