Carol Barlow, was born Carol Lee Ladd on July 5, 1935 in Norwood, Colorado. She left this world on May 12, 2019. Her childhood and early adult years were spent in rural Colorado, which she dearly loved. Carol married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Barlow in 1954 and they welcomed three daughters, Ramona Condrey, Karen Urias (Sal), and Diane (Paul) Rowe.
The family moved to Gallup, New Mexico in 1960 where they resided for many years. Carol held several jobs during her lifetime including trailer park manager, cashier, and retail sales. Her favorite position was being the librarian at Roosevelt Elementary School, where she enjoyed dressing as book characters and reading to the children.
Carol was a devout Christian and she used her beautiful voice and other talents in her church’s music ministry, singing and making costumes for church cantatas. She also enjoyed writing poetry to honor family and friends. Children and animals held a special place in her heart.
Carol is survived by her three daughters, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Barlow, her parents Carrie Lee Blair and Oscar (Cotton) Jonson and her sisters Wilma Lindquist, Edna (Sue) Knuckles and Edith (Sis) Howard.
