Charlene L. Benavidez

Charlene Louise Benavidez, beloved wife and mother passed away on May 25, 2018, after battling multiple health issues for more than 20 years. Despite her many health problems, she insisted on living a full life, even bowling with her oxygen tank. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, and BBQ’s with family and friends. Charlene was also an avid traveler, RV-ing across the US, Canada and was even in New York City on 9-11.  She was born in Los Angeles CA, in 1946 and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1979. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael Benavidez, son Michael Toole, daughter Dawn Toole, son Tony and wife Martha Benavidez, daughter Louise and husband Mark Boone, brothers Chuck and Wendell Peters, many nieces and nephews, four grandchildren, dear friend Alicia Alvarez, childhood friend Mary Robinson as well as her beloved dogs Brandy and Iris. Per her wishes Charlene, will be cremated, and the family will have a small private service.
