He was preceded in death by son, Paul Michael Ryan Parsons. Doug is survived by daughter, Sara Parsons; father, Paul Parsons; mother, Nellie Parsons; sisters, Debbie Garcia and Laurie Hayes; brother, Mark Parsons; nieces, Mandy Garcia, Hayley Escarcega, and Harmony Garcia; nephews, Logan Hayes and Hunter Hayes.
