Ronald N. Barychko, Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey….”
Ronald was born on October 13, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. He honorably served in the United States Navy and the United States Army. After leaving the service he worked for Colgate in New Jersey before relocating his family to Albuquerque in 1972. He owned and operated Ron’s Fina Gas & Service Station on Eubank and Indian School before beginning his career as a truck driver with Roadway Express where he was awarded the Two Million Mile Safe Driver Award prior to retiring in 2000 after 22 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anne and Nicholas Barychko and his brother Barry Barychko. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary. As well as sister Peggy DiBello and brother Kenneth Barychko both of New Jersey. Children Ann Barychko and longtime love Bob Tate, Sandy Rodvold, Brenda Begley and husband Jim, Ronald Barychko, Jr., Brian Barychko all of Albuquerque and Victoria Turney of Arkansas. Grandchildren Ashley, Dylan, Brandon, Ivy, Kylee, Skylar, Jonathan and Mary. Great grandchildren Nicholas, Nevada, Nemesis, Allison, Logan, Mason and Evelyn.
Services will be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home at 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE on Tuesday, October 2nd. Visitation at 9AM with services beginning at 10AM. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
