Rose Gutierrez

Rose Gutierrez, age 92, was born on August 30, 1928 and was called by the Lord on March 5, 2021 in Albuquerque, NM. She worked at UNM Johnson Gym for 23 years. Rose will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her son, Ross Valdez. Her spirit is carried on by her daughter, Norma Jonas; sons, Ruben Valdez and Paul Valdez and wife Lorraine; grandchildren, Heather Statum and husband Emrhys, Paul Valdez, Jr. and wife Victoria and 5 great grandchildren.

                Rose was a woman of strong faith. She never complained, always looked to the bright side of life, was encouraging, supportive and kind. Her superpower was loving and listening without judgement. Rose loved her family, friends, church, food and music. She showed her love by inviting you into her home for a good meal with a smile and a hug and saying a prayer for you as you left.

She will be greatly missed by all she touched with her kindness and love.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
